<p>Our parish has just a single maintenance man serving three different churches and the rectory, as well as oversight at the school. Thus, simple maintenance like painting the railing at the church entrance serves a charitable purpose to the church itself by taking that responsibility and cost of labor off the church and upon the Knights. It serves as a time for the Council Brothers to bond in the work of a common cause enhancing our fraternal mission. And most importantly, it makes the church look nicer! St. Joseph Church has a steel railing that is painted black at the front entrance of the church. Due its proximity to state road 119 there is a lot of salt damage to contend with so the railing needs a lot of maintenance. The project involved sanding down areas where rust was coming through, priming and painting the finish coat.</p> |

<p>Blood Drive held at St. Mary Church Hall in Dover, NH on 10/7/2025 from 10am to3pm.There were 37 donors listed on the Red Cross Blood</p>
<p>Drive Roster. 7 donors on the roster were no shows. 3 donors had physical rejects and could not donate. There were also 3 walk-ins plus 8 Power Reds.</p>
<p>A total of 37 units were collected.</p> |

<p>Our council held its semi-annual fall yard sale as a fundraising project to make a donation and help support our parish. Several of our Knights collected items from parishioners after each weekend Mass. We also provided pick-up of items from parishioners who needed help to get their donations to our church. The event was a great success, raising over $1,000.00 in just a few hours. The event provided not only a social event for the parish, it also served to bring our brother knights to a day-long event working together and enjoying each other's company. Ultimately, strengthening a brotherhood of Catholic men and helping us to grow in union with our Lord. </p> |

<p>The Knights of Columbus Annual Parish Picnic was held on Sept. 28th this year in conjunction with our new church's 10th anniversary Mass. We have a new church building and had a rededication Mass with the Bishop, two days earlier in the evening during the week. As part of a weekend-long celebration, the Knights provided a barbecue, and all parishioners were invited to attend. Outdoor games and activities were available for children and families to participate in. As part of the 10th Anniversary of our church, a museum exhibit was held in the church hall, showcasing the history of all of the churches that came together to form our new parish. As part of the entertainment for the event, a Trivia Challenge Contest was developed, based on the information found in the historic exhibit of all of the churches involved. Not only did this turn out to be a great learning experience for all our parishioners, but it also brought four separate churches together to form a new parish and one large family that celebrates Mass together. </p> |

<p>Our new Church celebrated its 10th Anniversary since it opened. We re-celebrated its Consecration Mass with the Bishop and several priests who were previous Pastors. The Knights provided an Honor Guard with 7 Knights in Regalia. The cost was essentially nothing other than food donations and a potluck. Over 95 parishioners attended the event. It was a rewarding night to honor so many priests who had served as pastors and to welcome other priests of our deanery, along with our Bishop. This was an unusual one-time event. Our parish is actually 19 years old. It was formed as 3 churches clustered to form 1 new parish. Our new church building is 10 years old, and our Parish will celebrate its 20th Anniversary next Fall. Along with the event was a museum exhibit showcasing the history of all of the churches involved. The museum exhibit was designed and constructed by one of our council members. The total number of hours involved in the project is unknown.</p> |

<p>Purpose of the Activity: To place grave markers on all Veterans Graves, as there were very few graves that had Grave Markers with American Flags on them. It was the goal of the Knights of Columbus Council 6850 and Assembly 2644., Epping NH,</p>
<p><span style="font-size: 1rem; caret-color: auto;">Veterans Grave Markers/Memorial Day 2025 </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 1rem; caret-color: auto;">Council 6850 and Assembly 2644 of Epping NH KofC in conjunction with Raymond VFW Post 4479, Epping American Legion Post 51 and the Boy Scouts America Tropp 136, took on the project of placing Grave Markers and American Flags on approximately 130 graves at St. Josph Cemetary for Memorial Day 2025. As the chairman of the project, I brought it up at our Assembly meeting and we voted that this needed attention of the KofC. We also informed the Council we wanted to carry out this project. We also informed the Veterans groups what we were doing. T</span><span style="font-size: 1rem; caret-color: auto;">he VFW voted to purchase 100 markers. As we put out the markers, we found that we needed more, so the American legion gave us $200 toward purchasing more, but we still needed more. The Council 6850 voted to come up with $350. We purchased 50 more markers. The Boy Scouts helped putting the Flags on all the markers. The Flags were purchased between the Legion and the VFW. This was the first time in a long time that St. Joseph Cemetary had markers and flags on all the Veterans graves. </span></p>
<p>Many thanks go out to the collaboration of the many organizations involved. PS special thanks to All the Veterans who served and all the members of: VFW #4479, American Legion #51, KofC Council #6850 and Assembly #2644. </p>

<p>Our Program is a Thank you to honor all our Altar Servers. The knights want to encourage young men and women who serve the Mass. By serving at Mass, this fosters an increase in faith, love and devotion to the Holy Eucharist. It also serves to encourage young men and women to a life of devotion to serve our God It encourages discernment to the priesthood and women to become sisters or Brides to Christ. Each year, we invite all Altar servers and at least one parent to attend a Fisher Cats Baseball Game. We also provide them with a paid Ticket to the game and a free food voucher. We also invited our Pastor. Our new pastor is from India, where cricket is popular, and he was familiar with the game. This was his first time in America attending a Baseball game. While at the game, he questioned why our servers brought baseball gloves, as they were not playing. We explained that it was for catching fly balls and balls thrown into the spectators. It was comical to watch him try to put on a glove and hold a baseball. For many of the servers, this was a first-time opportunity to experience a baseball game. Being men of faith as Knights and spending time with our Pastor in a social setting for the 1st time brought a deeper message of faith and understanding. It also helped our parish to grow in communion with one another. As Saint Matthew writes 25: 40-45</p>

<p>Council 807, on Friday, October 3rd, presented the Woodman Park School with 2 boxes of 12 coats each for boys and girls. In addition, approximately 25 more coats were donated (dry cleaned) at the same time, as well as a number of knitted caps and mittens for the children of Woodman Park. There are 3 public elementary schools in Dover, and the Woodman Park School services the section of the city which has the greatest need. The Knights of Council 807 are proud to continue this long-standing tradition of committing our resources to keep kids most in need with warmth and a sense of self-esteem with this donation. Patrick Boodey, the principal of Woodman Park School, was there to receive us and let us know that our donation came just in time as the weather has begun to turn colder and many of his students during recess let him know they were cold. The coast will be distributed to those in need immediately, on Friday October 3rd. </p> |

<p>Council 807 hosted its annual Blue Mass at the 5pm Mass at St Joseph's Church in Dover on 9/14/25. A 4th Degree Color Guard of 5 men was on hand to lead Dover Police and Fire personnel in full uniform into the Church to celebrate Mass. On hand were 5 police officers and 20 fire department personnel. It was quite a procession into St Joseph's with 30 individuals processing down the main aisle of the Church and taking their places in the front pews. Readings during the Mass were done by representatives of both Police and Fire departments. Normally a rather sparsely attended Mass, with the bulletin publicity the Church was full of parishioners who came out for this special event. </p>
<p>The parking area outside the front of the Church was reserved for Police and Fire apparatus and there were 6 vehicles that were blessed by Father Aggie with holy water. All first responders were invited back into the Parish Hall where finger food and a cake complete with Dover Police and Fire logos was served. Gift cards were passed out to all first responders on hand, and a special presentation was made to outgoing Police Chief Bill Breault for his years of service to both the Parish and the community. </p>
<p>In his homily Father Aggie spoke of the importance of these first responders to the community, had them stand and they were recognized with a blessing and applause. </p>
<p>This event that 807 hosts always corresponds to the closest Sunday to 9/11, as we will never forget.</p> |
