<p>Walter T. Moore, Past Financial Secretary of Council 807, represented the Knights of Columbus at the Red Cross Blood Drive</p>
<p>held at St. Mary Church Hall in Dover, NH on 2/3/2026 from 10am to 3pm. There were 39 donors listed on the Red Cross</p>
<p>Blood Drive Roster. 6 donors on the roster were no shows. 2 had physical rejects and could not donate and 2 had to reschedule.</p>
<p>There were also 5 walk-ins as well as 4 Power Red donors. A total of 39 units were collected.</p> |

<p>St. Joseph Council 6850 takes part in the Keep Christ in Christmas each year tov sell Catholic Christmas cards and Christmas related items to our parishioners. </p>
<p>this year we had a banner sales and made a little profit for our Council. The Knights host a table display of the items for sale in the church Narthex from mid October to the early December. </p>
<p>A Knight is at the station for questions, orders and sales. We also have Knight literature available for any man who might be considering joining the Knights. </p>
<p>The items for sale have received positive feedback from our parishioner's and they would miss the opportunity to have these items made available to them. </p>

<p>St. Joseph Council 6850 supports two seminarians via the RSVP program with a $500 gift. Funds for this event are raised throughout the year from a variety of fund raising activities. We are pleased to be able to sponsor two seminarians that will serve our state as parish priests. It is an honor to be a part of there ongoing education and support. </p>
<p>We receive a think you from each seminarians for our support of them as sell. Council and individual fellow Knights have send additional gifts/cards to the seminarians that we support. </p>

<p>St. Joseph Council 6850 prayed the Patriotic Rosary to honor our Veterans who are and have served to defend our country. </p>
<p>Our Patriotic Rosary was welcomed by our Assembly's Color Guard who led us in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Fr. David Gagnon, our pastor opened with a greeting and blessing. </p>
<p>One of our music ministers led us in song honoring the Veterans with each decade of the Rosary</p>
<p>Fellow Knights led a decade of the Patriotic Rosary and honored each state in our nation.</p>
<p>Very positive feedback was received from many of the participants. </p> |

<p>Red Cross Blood Drive </p>
<p>St. Joseph Council 6850 in association with the American Red Cross conducted a blood drive at our parish. Knights volunteered to do the day of the event registration and cover the canteen services. Our Council provided the donors with pizza after donated as well as drinks and snacks. </p>
<p>The event collected approximately 26 units of blood/blood products that day to support numerous persons in need. </p>

<p>Mission: To lay a wreath on a Veterans grave to Remember, Honor and Teach on National Wreath's Across America Day </p>
<p>Chair: Ronald Metivier and John Knorr</p>
<p>St. Joseph Council 6850 and Assembly 2644 conducted a Wreath's Across America Ceremony for our veterans at our church cemetery. We held a fund raiser to collect money for the purchase of wreaths and was very well received. We asked our local American Legion Post 51 to join us. They provided the Color Guard, firing squad and taps. Fr. David Gagnon lead us in prayer and blessed the wreaths. The American Legion presented the colors and lead the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. We then placed a large wreath on our biggest hero! Jesus on the Cross, as a symbol of our Love for Him. </p>
<p>At this time Sir Knights placed wreaths on all the Military Service Flags to honor all our service men now serving. We dedicated our first Wreath's Across America to Captain John Jean who served for 13 months in Vietnam, then came home and was killed in an auto accident. His large family of 13 was very strong force at our church. We called on the American Legion for dedication of our brave veterans with the firing squad and taps. Fr. David led us in a closing prayer. </p>
<p>At this time everyone placed a wreath on a Veterans grave by calling out their names and either saluting or given the sign of the cross for each. This concluded our service. </p>
<p>We had about 50 persons in attendance with very positive feedback. The mission, To Remember, Honor and Teach was accomplished by all in attendance. A youth high school basketball team from our town participated and served as another aspect of the teaching mission. We recognized 160 veterans with a wreath that day. </p>
