Rules of Eligibility

The following rules shall govern the Bishop Bradley Province State Scholarships:

  1. Four scholarships of $750.00 each will be awarded in 2026.
  2. Candidate must preferably be a member of the NH Knights of Columbus or the wife, son, or daughter of such a member.
  3. Grandchildren may apply, if father is a practicing Catholic, but preference will first be given to children of knights.
  4. The Knight must be in good standing in his council or if deceased, be in good standing at the time of his death.
  5. Membership standing shall be verified by the member’s local council and NH State Council.
  6. The scholarships are for full time college or university students working on a BA or BS at an accredited institute of higher learning.
  7. An official transcript of the last semester of high school or previous year of college shall accompany the application.
  8. The applicant shall write an autobiographical statement which shows his/her service to the Church, parish community, and to his fellow man.
  9. Special consideration shall be given to applicants to a Catholic College/University.
  10. The decision of the scholarship committee (chaired by Prof. Paul E. Roy) and his committee shall be final.
  11. The final date for this application is May 15, 2026.
