Traveling Mary Statue Program

TravelingMaryProgram

The Traveling Mary Statue Program is very simple. The beautiful statues are 15 inches tall, made in Portugal, light in weight, and durable They come in a small carrying case with inexpensive rosaries and the Knight’s How to Pray the Rosary. The entire package costs $75 - $80 (statues $57 - $62) depending on where they are purchased.

The Mary statue is brought to a pastor and introduced to him as a gift from the Knights. Each statue becomes the property of the church.  We let him know of all the parishes already on board and what wonderful feedback we have received. It only requires one person in the parish office to keep a signup sheet with contact info on who has the statue that week. Most parishes let families take the statue home for 1-2 weeks depending on the size of the parish. The program works best when the pastor introduces the statue at the end of all the weekend Masses and blesses it and the enclosed rosaries. Families have shared how they feel so blessed that the statue presented at Mass and then blessed by their pastor can now come to their homes!

When families welcome a traveling statue of Mary into their home, they begin to pray the family rosary daily and miracles begin to happen. So many families have shared that peace came to their families and heartfelt prayer intentions were answered. They now have a peaceful prayer space in their home even when Mary leaves. Many have bought their own statues to fill that empty space. There are currently 80 parishes in NH 39 participating in this program.

If your Council is not currently participating in the program, please contact me at 603-568-1142 or Mary Ann Distasio603-595-7837 and we will make sure Mary is made available to you.
