Barry Rondeau, PGK, FDD Passing
Sir Knight Barry Rondeau, PGK, FDD passed away last Friday. He previously belonged to St. Jude Council #6617 in Plaistow before moving to Myrtle Beach, SC with his wife Marie. Barry served our Council three separate times as Grand Knight and chaired many social, council and church events while he was a member. Barry with the help of Don Richardson, PGK created the St. Jude Golf Open that raised money for financially strapped families facing serious medical conditions in our community. The program has been run for the last 25 years and donated tens of thousands of dollars during that time.
He served the State Council as a District Deputy and in the role of State Ticket Chairman. Barry was also very active in Ceremonials serving multiple roles in the First, Second and Third Degree teams. He often would identify some need of the less fortunate in our community and involve himself in any program of the Council that could help fulfill that need. He was a great friend that would give the shirt off his back for another in need. He led and/or created many of the service projects that the Council was most proud of.
Personally, Barry was my very best friend, and I greatly feel his loss. He was a very special person that God put into my life’s path. I often thank God for that gift!
Please keep Barry and his family in your prayers.
