DEAR BROTHERS,
This is the 30th year we are able to conduct the subject contest in NH due to an anonymous donation. Up to $600.00 may be awarded to Junior-High students, Senior-High students in NH (not just Catholics or Knights).
The theme for this year’s contest is:
“ St. Ignatius offers…”Pray as if everything depends on God, but work as if everything depends on us”…as a balance between personal responsibility and Divine Trust. What does this mean for needed actions for protecting life – e.g., by yourself, others, pro-life groups, etc ?”
DEADLINE : Midnight, Dec 15, 2025

Please advertise the contest as soon as possible, through bulletin announcements (see sample attached), talking to CCD classes, submitting to local schools and newspapers. Enclosed is a sample flyer with entry instructions, which may be freely reproduced. Thanks.

The NH Knights of Columbus is once again conducting a Student Respect Life Essay Contest for any Jr-High (Gr 6,7,8) or Sr-High (Gr 9,10,11,12) student in NH (not just Catholics or Knights). Up to six cash awards of $100 may be made.
The theme for this year’s contest is:

RULES: Essays may not be longer than 500 words; typed, and submitted as a PDF or Word Document and emailed to . Include student name, age, grade, school, parent name and address, phone, parish and email.
Students may obtain help & information, including from parents, teachers, friends, and internet, but the essay itself must be their own work.
