Introduce your Members to our State Council Website
I'd like to share with you our Grand Knights what I covered with our Service Directors and with members of my Council. Hopefully you could do the same with your Membership.
Worthy Brother Directors:
Mike Pitaro tells me we’re looking for more participants in the retreat, so I introduced my Council to our web site at our meeting last night. I highlighted a number of our programs including the upcoming retreat. Several members who normally participate in the retreat spoke up highly recommending it.
I was surprised that they asked me to provide some instructions on how to access our good information. So I did, and they are included below. If you find any of this useful, feel free to use whatever you want.
Additionally, you might want to introduce your Councils to our Web site as well.
Thanks for all you do,
Ron Bourque

Worthy Brother Knights:
At last night’s Council Meeting, we showed our state K of C web site and the many opportunities on there for earning extra points before we get to the Pearly Gates. It was requested that I provide an explanation of how to get there for our Knights who may not be that familiar with finding desired information on the Internet. It’s actually very simple.
On your computer, open a browser (e.g., Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Apple Safari or any other browser).
Type “KofC NH” and hit return. “Knights of Columbus New Hampshire State Council” should come up. Click on that with your mouse, and the web site should appear.
Or you can type https://www.nhknight.org in your browser address bar and hit return. The web site should appear.
On the blue bar, put your mouse on “PROGRAMS/COR” and a menu of options will appear. Click on “ALL PROGRAMS” and our programs in four categories will appear. You’re there! Browse away.
The first major category is “Faith Programs” directed by Mike Pitaro. Mike’s phone number and Email are listed under the picture of him and his lovely wife. Feel free to call or write to him with any comments or suggestions. The various programs are listed to the right. Click on any one of them for more information.
Of particular interest is the “Men’s Retreat” coming up the first weekend in September. It’s a great program with delighted participants coming back year after year. Please register ASAP if you’re interested because it’s coming up soon.
The next major category is “Family Programs” and unfortunately, we don’t have a Director for that one yet. If you’re interested in the job, please speak to me. Our previous Family Director used this with his own family. Public schools are where our children usually lose their faith. His kids are evangelizing their classmates in a public high school. This stuff really works!
Then we have “Community Programs” directed by Bob Garand.
- Our Council used to run “Free Throw Competitions” prior to COVID, but I don’t believe we’ve restarted them since. That could be a nice opportunity for a volunteer.
- We run numerous Blood Drives and give lots of “Coats for Kids” away.
Finally, we have our “Life Programs” directed by Roy Dennehy. Many of you may Know Roy and his lovely wife who are from the St. Matthew’s Council in Windham. He participates in CORE and several of our other programs.
- Of particular interest is the NH Right to Life Banquet on October 16th. It will be held at the Manchester Country Club, and the speaker is Darlene Pawlik. Darlene has an incredible story which dramatically demonstrates great reasons for always choosing life.
- 40 Days for Life will be starting up again soon. Unfortunately, this link is not working, so call or Email Roy for more information.
Nobody wants to be broke in retirement, so many of us have IRAs and/or 401Ks. But how long will we live in retirement? The average is only 7 years. Maybe we’ll be lucky and live 10, 20 or even 30 or more years in retirement, but that’s really a short time. These programs are designed to help us build our Heavenly IRAs and 401Ks. We don’t want to be broke for eternity…
Additionally, this web site is a work in progress. It’s far from perfect, but your comments and suggestions can help us make it better.
Thank you for your interest and attention. I hope you find these programs personally beneficial.
Vivat Jesus!
