Zygote - Pro Life Poem
Worthies,
The attached link is to a poem which was recited yesterday by a young woman at the March for Life, in Concord, NH, on 1/10/26. It moved me so, that I asked her to send it to me. I wanted to share it with you. Share it with others!
Thanks

Zygote
The angels stand speechless at each little soul
From two loves, one flesh —
Ineffable.
When the worlds collide
Swift yet silent is a new bud hastening
To new forms, rising from a new strength, wakening...
But still, small — all within the limits of a pinpoint!
Atoms, splitting quickly into slender fingers, thin joints...
There! where the makings of a man first flourishes
There at the start where the warm dark nourishes
The molding, unfolding of a whole new universe
The first of its kind which the stars of the sky cannot contain
A refrain rises up from the awe-struck seraphim
Long before the 6 week heartbeat bursts through
In liquid soundwaves
Heaven take care of him!
Glory to the Maker of the Living
And the living thing made!
Soundless are the world’s most dazzling miracles
Secret as the seed’s unraveling... lyrical,
Only to the hearts which hearken
To her tender cry for peace
