My Brother Knights and My Brothers In Christ,
I am pleased to announce the Knights of Columbus State of NH Annual Men’s Retreat September 15 –17th at Camp Bernadette, on beautiful Lake Wentworth, Wolfeboro, NH. We all know we occasionally need our spiritual batteries recharged. Join us and Fr. Jerome Day, OSB at St. Anselm Abbey who has graciously accepted the invitation to be the Spiritual Leader for the weekend.
Some of you may know him from St. Anselm College. He teaches on the English faculty and is the faculty advisor to the student newspaper. Others may know him as the former pastor at St. Raphael Parish, Manchester. He is well known for his VERY dry sense of humor and mercilessly likes to tease his friends. As always this will be an exceptional weekend surely to be filled with many pearls of spiritual wisdom and brotherhood.
We welcome back Chef John McClure as our culinary provider. On Saturday night John will be preparing our traditional Surf n’ Turf dinner instituted by Fr. Smolley who would say, “and this ain’t hot dogs and fish sticks”. So, join us in September for a weekend of fellowship, spirituality and laughter.
This retreat is open to all Knights and their guests. My Brother Knights I strongly suggest you invite a non-Knight. Once he experiences the brotherhood of a group of TRUE CATHOLIC MEN he will be asking, “What do I need to become a Knight?”. Total cost for the weekend is only $90.00 which includes all meals, multi person “rustic summer camp” cabins for sleeping and retreat materials.
