GraniteStateThe New Hampshire State Council Knights of Columbus each year seeks out an outstanding citizen of our state who through his/her life and work exemplifies and magnifies the great virtues of leadership, charity, and humanitarianism.

All councils are encouraged to select and nominate an outstanding person over the age of 18 who should be considered for this recognition. Qualifications needed to be considered are listed as follows:

  • Must be an outstanding citizen who performed acts of charity, leadership, and humanitarianism in the State of New Hampshire.
  • Must be for community involvement as a volunteer offering extraordinary service and leadership.
  • Has a positive influence within the state or community.
  • Must be a person of good character.
  • Remember this is a “life” award, not an award for a single good deed.
  • Knights in a leadership position (State Officer, State Director/Chairman, District Deputy, Grand Knight or Faithful Navigator) are not eligible for this award.
  • Nominations must be submitted to Granite Award Chair, Paul E. Roy, at pauleroy82 [AT] yahoo [DOT] com or by mail at 7 Main Street, Hooksett, NH 03106.
  • Nominations must be submitted no later than February 15, 2020.

The selection process is performed by the State Officers upon receiving nominations from the committee chairman. All communications and nominations will be presented to the State Deputy in a sealed envelope addressed to the Selection Committee made up of al State Officers.
